The trek to Dhankuta becomes attrective because it avoid the pile up at Lukla and Explores some unsual country unlike any that you have seen on the first portion of the trek Lukla to Everest Base Camp and Kala pattar Feom Lukla the trial meanders north along the Dudh koshi bounding up tp Namche(3450), where Khumbu and the serious senery start.Nestled handsomely in a horsehoe bowl, the Sherpa "capital"has done very well out of mountaineering and trekking over the years.Besides trekking equipment,Namch's shops sell absolutly anything a trekker could desire - film, maps, batteries, mars bars from around the world,a dozen styles of Swiss Army Knife, albeit all at inflated prices. There's also a bank ,post office and even internet access .Try to make your trip coincide with the pan cultural saturday market,or visit the national park visitors centre, perched on the ridge est of town, which contains an informative museum. Beyond Namche, the trials veers northest into a tributary valley and climbs to Tengboche, surrounded by protected juniper forest
