Makalu Region"Makalu base camp" You can make a outstanding trek in eastern Nepal from either Hile or Tumlingtar by Walking north up the Arun river to sedua and Num,the crossing Barun la (4110metres) into the upper Barun khola Valley for a close look at Makalu (8463 meters) and Chamlang (7317 metres). The route is not particularly difficult but it becomes a long trek because of the long distance that you must walk up the Arun
You can put togethr an even wilder trek by crossing Sherpani col and west col into the upper Hongu Bisin.A few groups have tried this trek and it has proved itself difficult and potentially dangerous.it's better to travel from Lukla if you want to go into the upper Hongu Basin and the panch pokhari (five lakes0,situated there.
